Dead by Daylight will be Free on the Epic Games Store For a Limited Time

New Deal for Dead by Daylight

Dead by Daylight will be free on the Epic Games store from December 2nd to December 9th.

Dead by Daylight is an asymmetrical multiplayer horror game. One player plays as the killer while four other players play as survivors. The survivors have to repair generators that spawn randomly on the map while avoiding the killer and escape. The killer must hunt down the four players, down them and place them on sacrificial hooks.

The game is developed by Behaviour Interactive and launched for Windows back in 2016. Despite being five years old, Dead by Daylight still gets constant updates and ports from the developers. Subsequent releases came out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2017 and Nintendo Switch in 2019. It was even ported for IOS and Android in 2020.

The game features a wide array of monsters and creeps that make up the killer roster players can choose from. This roster includes both completely original characters as well as slasher movie icons. Some of these icons include Michael Myers from the 1978 film Halloween, Freddy Krueger from the 1984 film A Nightmare on Elm Street and Leatherface from the 1974 film Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Each Killer has a unique set of perks and abilities that help them pressure the survivors.

If hunting people isn’t your thing, you can also play as a survivor. Survivors can queue up with their friends or solo-queue and match with random players. For every Killer added, at least one survivor is added as well each with their own unique set of perks that help them complete objectives and escape the trial.

If you’re interested in this game, be sure to take advantage of this deal when you can. Behaviour Interactive just recently lost their licencing rights for Netflix’s series Stranger Things. The Demogorgon, Steve and Nancy are no longer available to new players, and who knows if/when they’ll lose the rights to another IP. Take advantage of the deal before it’s too late.
