DOOM Eternal Update 6.66 Is Available Now And Brings A Ton Of Content
DOOM Eternal is the latest iteration of one of the most gory, fun and intense shooters, DOOM. DOOM Eternal released in 2020 and the developers have made significant improvements to the game and consistently released content for it. DOOM Eternal is currently available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch and PC. In DOOM Eternal’s Update 6.66, developers id Software have introduced more content including a Horde Mode, master levels and more. DOOM Eternal Update 6.66 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
The Horde Mode is an arcade style mode that challenges players to rise to the top of seasonal leaderboards as they take on the role of the DOOM Slayer and destroy enemies. In the mode, players are armed with all perks, runes and upgrades along with the mighty, trust Combat Shotgun. From there, players must survive against waves of enemies in three challenging levels to unlock more weapons. Players who successfully complete the levels and puzzles can unlock seven different skins.
The leaderboards allow players to compete with other slayers and they can set themselves apart by playing at higher difficulties, killing bounty demons and much more.
The Battlemode 2.0 has been refined in the latest update, as the 2v1 multiplayer mode allows two player-controlled demons to fight against the DOOM slayer. Other introductions made in the mode include the Dread Knight demon, the Stronghold arena and a ranking system with rewards.
Players can now experience two new Master Levels, Mars Core and the World Spear. These levels twist the game to allow for new combat encounters and give players a true challenge.
