Backbone Has Officially Launched On Consoles Today
EggNut is a Canadian video game studio with members from around the world that is interested in creating interactive experiences using the complexity of human interaction. Raw Fury is a independent video game publisher founded in 2015 that is concerned solely with experiences, emotions and assisting developers in creating unique experiences. The two companies teamed up earlier this year to launch Backbone on the PC and mobile devices, and the EggNut has officially announced that Backbone has been released on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Game Pass.
Backbone’s console launch trailer, that lasts less than a minute, shows off the game’s artistic design, gameplay and dialogue options all to the tune of a melodic, sad song.
In Backbone, players take on the role of a raccoon detective, Howard Lotor, who must solve a unique case. Backbone is set in Vancouver, British Columbia. The developers have made various improvements to the game for its console release including international localizations across all formats along with a language switching option in-game. Players can use a keybind to assist in switching between two languages as they play Backbone.
Backbone is officially part of Steam’s Halloween Sale and is currently 25% off from today until November 1st. The game is also on sale on GOG until November 3rd. The price on Steam is currently $18.74USD. Interested fans can check it out here.
In May, it was announced that Backbone was heading to PC via the Epic Games Store, GOG and Steam.
