Fan-Favorite Bewster Will Return to Animal Crossing In New Update

The Bird Approaches

Animal Crossing: New Horizons players will soon see fresh content reaching their island when the game’s next update drops. Today’s Nintendo Direct also announced that the update would be coming in November of this year, with a special Nintendo Direct in October showing off more contents. But what we have now is already exciting enough: an old fan-favorite character, Brewster, was teased.

“OUR SAVOIR IS BACK” is the title of a pinned post on the Animal Crossing subreddit, just to give you an idea of how excited people are to see this character return. Brewster, as you might be able to guess from the name, is a bird that runs a coffee shop. He’s not actually a rooster, but… come on. You can’t fault a name like that.

Brewster’s character contrasts the happy and open style most AC characters go for, instead being far more aloof and blunt. He’s someone who’s more often talked about than too, and that gave him something of a mythical status among the villagers, with one line speculating that he was able to hear anything going on in his shop – regardless of volume or distance. Naturally, this theory was quickly proven… wait, it was true? He’s someone who fueled a ton of hilarious interactions, which made his absence from Animal Crossing: New Horizons especially noticeable.

As excited as fans are for this new update, they’d do well to take a step back – the Nintendo Direct in October will be all about the next wave of AC content. If they can fill that much time with nothing but Animal Crossing goodies, you know something fun’s in store. Whether it’s a single massive addition or a wide selection of smaller content drops is yet to be seen, but one thing’s for certain: Animal Crossing fans have an avalanche of new content that’s only getting closer by the day.
