Call of Duty: Vanguard Players Already Discovered Cheaters in the Match
Call of Duty: Vanguard has recently started its multiplayer beta, but it looks like aggressive cheaters have already penetrated it. Although it does not have as big of a cheater problem as Call of Duty: Warzone does, it clearly has enough that the CoD community has pointed them out. Some players have even taken to social media to share their footage of how the hackers cheated in the matches.
One Call of Duty: Vanguard player shared a clip of another player that using an aimbot cheat. After the player got eliminated a second time, the killcam perspective of the other player shows the obvious use of cheats. The cheater is able to hold down the trigger as the weapon snaps back and forth between different targets—something that would not be easily detected otherwise.
“Hackers in the beta already,” the Call of Duty: Vanguard player wrote, sharing the clip. A different player in the match also caught the cheater in action. Unfortunately for those who play the game fair and square, the cheater got the best play of the match. “How are there cheaters already?” the other fan wrote.
The two shared clips may only show one example of cheating in the Call of Duty: Vanguard matches, but both have shown a blatant use of cheats that have already been quite rampant in the franchise’s other games.
With that said, it is highly likely that other players have also come across similar situations but were just not able to record them, or did not take the time to watch the killcam to check if their assailant was, indeed, cheating or not.
Cheaters have always been a problem for Call of Duty games—so much so that Activision have decided to implement a special anti-cheat system after Vanguard gets launched later this year. Just last month, Activision banned another 100,000 players from Warzone simply for cheating. “We know what you are doing,” the devs said in a recent marketing video. “We are coming for you.”
