A New Tactical RPG
Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters received a new cinematic trailer and is also in the running as the longest name for an RPG. Warhammer games are always pretty hit or miss, but I am a fan of RPGs, so this is one I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on.
Here is a rundown on the story:
Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters is a fast-paced, turn-based tactical RPG, telling the story of a squad of Grey Knights, an elite brotherhood of genetically-enhanced Space Marines devoted to purging the corrupting forces of Chaos and their fight to stop the spread of a daemonic plague; The Bloom.
It looks great graphically, but a cinematic trailer just doesn’t give me enough information. I understand why publishers love to show off games with cinematic trailers; it isn’t the best for gamers. I have no idea how the game actually looks and runs.
I will say the trailer certainly looks like a Warhammer game. Huge warriors in absolutely ridiculous-looking armor. I would not want to be stuck wearing that stuff. It looks as uncomfortable as this game’s name.
