Playstation Players Unable to Purchase Marvel’s Avengers In a New Bug

Can’t Catch A Break

Just when things were about to turn for the better for Marvel’s Avengers with a new expansion on the horizon, and a free weekend to boost the number of players, a new bug is now preventing new players from purchasing the game on PlayStation.

Thus far, it seems unclear what is causing the bug so far, although it seems likely that it has something to do with the free weekend and how PSN perceives the game’s ownership status with players who have been trying the game out for free.

Although Marvel’s Avengers has acknowledged the bug in a tweet that promises an update soon, Square Enix hasn’t revealed any more details regarding the bug so far, and when potential consumers should expect a fix.

The War For Wakanda expansion will breathe life into the game, bringing Black Panther in and two new main villains, as well as a brand new story revolving around Wakanda and King T’Challa’s quest to save it

“Blindsided by a betrayal and the resulting tragedy, T’Challa finds it difficult to entrust his duty to anyone else, even his sister Shuri, while also confronting those who wish to do Wakanda harm. When arch-villain Klaw’s forces threaten Wakanda’s safety, T’Challa must take the fight right to them to defend everything and everyone he holds dear,” said Crystal Dynamics describing the new storyline.

Marvel’s Avengers is now available for purchase on the PS4 and PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
