Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame Edition Puts the ‘Cost’ in ‘Costumes’

We’re Looking Good in the Endgame Now

It’s an exciting week for Marvel’s Avengers. Black Panther and the War For Wakanda expansion came out, a new MCU-inspired Captain America outfit was released for Cap mains, and there is also a new edition of the game, but it kind of feels like a money-grab.

Before Marvel’s Avengers came out, Crystal Dynamics was adamant about making their Avengers their own thing and not be like the super-popular superheroes in the MCU, but that is all over apparently. There are a bunch of costumes inspired by the MCU movies and now there is a new edition called Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame Edition.

Marvel's Avengers Endgame Edition

The standard edition’s price has dropped to $39.99, but the Endgame Edition is now a full $59.99. Is it worth it though? Well, it does come with all the free content released for the game thus far, plus eight outfits you would otherwise have to purchase with in-game credits.

The outfits that come with the Endgame Edition are the Endgame costumes for Black Widow and Hawkeye, Iron Man’s Bleeding Edge Armor, Hulk’s Gladiator outfit, Captain America’s Ultimate Patriot outfit, Thor’s Young look, Ms. Marvel’s Advanced outfit, and Kate Bishop’s Hawkingbird outfit.

All these outfits are either Exotic, Legendary, or Epic rarity, so getting them all would cost a significant amount of credits. That being said, are they worth the extra $20? Good question. Current owners of the game can buy these costumes for a $20 bundle. Unfortunately, is does not appear that players like your ol’ pal Zane who already have one or two of these costumes would get any sort of discount for buying the rest of them.

Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame Edition is out now, but you should probably just pick up the standard edition for less. Marvel’s Avengers is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Stadia.

Would you get the Endgame Edition for the extra $20? Let us know in the comments below.
