Call of Duty: Warzone Fan-Favourite Weapon MP5 Just Got A Nerf
Call of Duty: Warzone just got an update and many of the franchise’s fans noticed that there were some changes to some of their favourite weapons. One known fan-favourite weapon is the MP5, and it looks like it was nerfed.
Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 was just officially rolled out to the waiting public, and the patch brought with a lot of changes, including weapon nerfs, new buffs, as well as new weapons. CoD outlet Charlie Intel was quick to point out that the popular MW MP5 had some drastic changes in the form of reduced damage and reduced range of effectiveness.
“Thoughts on this nerf,” the outlet wrote on social media, with an attached short video of the said MP5’s apparent performance changes. The Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 version of MP5 brought the submachine gun down to 31 damage from 34 and a range of effectiveness that was also reduced to 5.4%. It is worth noting, however, that the Black Ops: Cold War version of the weapon did not get as harsh of a nerf as it did in Warzone.
Other weapons featured in Call of Duty: Warzone include the M16, PKM, and the Tec-9. Unfortunately, it would seem that CoD players who have been used to using the MP5 will have to look for another weapon. However, between the arsenal of weapons featured in Cold War and Modern Warfare, Warzone fans still have to plenty to choose from.
Many Call of Duty: Warzone fans did point out that the SMG was actually overpowered to begin with. Despite the apparent nerf, a lot of the franchise’s loyal fans still believe that the MP5 is still a worthwhile gun to possess during a loadout, and that the nerf was necessary so that the other weapons could get a chance at the spotlight.
