Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 URL Hinted at Next-Gen Update

Next-Gen CoD: Warzone Fans May Get Lucky With Season 5 Launch

Call of Duty: Warzone  players have been enjoying the game since its release last year, but next-gen console gamers still have not had the chance to give it a try. To date, there is still no word on when Call of Duty: Warzone will become playable for the PS5 and the Xbox Series. As of the moment, the game still runs on its Xbox One and PS4 versions.

Activision still has kept silent about a lot of the details surrounding Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5, but they did confirm that it will be released on August 12th across all platforms at an undisclosed time. Looking at the game’s previous seasons, however, releases were scheduled at 12AM Eastern Time.

Next-gen console owners who want to experience Call of Duty: Warzone may be lucky when Season 5 is finally launched. Dataminer BreadisModding claimed on social media, via DualShockers, that he found a URL for Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5’s patch notes ahead of its August 12 launch. The web address that was linked to developer Raven Software highlighted both “Warzone Season 5” and “next-gen launch” in the same URL. This suggests that Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 may bring out a next-gen update.

Unfortunately, the gaming community still cannot access this URL, but it has reportedly been confirmed to be the official Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 URL. Those who click the locked URL will be taken to an official Raven Software error page. Once the page is finally published, this address is expected to be unlocked. Although there is no confirmation whether or not the news about the next-gen update is legit, it does indicate that PS5 and Xbox Series X/S gamers can expect to hear more about it between now and August 12.
