Leaked Video and Images Suggest CoD: Vanguard Will Be Set In World War 2
A Call of Duty: Vanguard teaser has been leaked on social media and the CoD community is here for it. The shared short video appears to be the first footage from the next installment in the franchise. The trailer has since been removed from it original posting, which has further suggested that the rogue preview is authentic.
Earlier today, Charlie Intel collated all the images together, but the chronicle has already been taken offline due to copyright claims from Activision. However, some of the images continue to appear online and it seems to be a nod towards recent rumours and leaks about the next entry having a World War 2 setting. It gave a panning view of a war-torn city that was attacked by fighter jets overhead.
In one of the leaked images, Call of Duty: Vanguard is revealed to be offering an early access to its open beta period. New operators were also shown, namely, Polina, Lucas, and Wade—each of them decked with a marksman rifle, a special assault rifle, and SMG, respectively.
It is also worth noting that, several days ago, a teaser image for Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 5 was shared to the public. It was in this image that the new Operator for the upcoming installments was revealed. However, it was also pointed out that a portion of the text near the right edge of the screen translated to “Vangaado Kitaru,” which was then independently translated to “Vanguard coming.”
It was previously claimed that the much-awaited Call of Duty: Vanguard will be taking place in an alternate timeline where the war never ceased. However, reports have come out stating that the next entry to the series will be featuring the franchise’s typical game set with a World War 2 setting.
