Sounds Like Lululemon Better Watch Their Backs
Remember, like, a year ago when Ring Fit Adventure was suffering shortages all over the world because of the pandemic? Everyone was being cooped up in their homes with almost no way of staying active or exercising. Luckily, Nintendo had released Ring Fit Adventure just a few months earlier, which had become one of the hottest fitness and gaming commodities in the world. That would have been the perfect time for this particular accessory, which is basically a yoga mat. HORI is coming out with an officially licensed Ring Fit Adventure exercise mat.
Is there anything special about this licensed exercise mat? Not really. It has the Nintendo and Ring Fit Adventure logos on it, but other than that, it does not seem better than a standard yoga mat. It is about 1.8m long, 61cm wide, and 4mm thick. If you are familiar with exercise equipment like yoga mats, you will know that there are a few levels of thickness; 3.2mm, 4mm, and 6mm. It may not seem like a lot, but a millimeter can make a difference to fitness enthusiasts.
If you are the kind of person to roll it up and take it on the go, a thinner mat might be for you. That being said, if you are getting this to compliment your Ring Fit Adventure hardware, you probably won’t be taking it around with you. There is also a dip in the mat to make folding it easier and to give you even more padding. It appears that it is only being sold in Japan at the moment and will be released in June. Hopefully, Ring Fit Adventure players in North America will be able to get their feet on it soon. Ring Fit Adventure is available exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
