The Townsfolk are a Royal Pain in the Butt
Crusader Kings 3 is all about problem solving. When you are faced with a problem, you can wage war against it, maybe try to broker an alliance, or fix it at its source. The upcoming DLC is about approaching domestic issues and choosing how to handle them. The Royal Court expansion adds, well… a Royal Court. In addition to where you will be addressing your vassals, this area will also house important items that determine what kind of crowds you draw. You’re only as good as the company you keep.
This DLC will give you a Throne Room, where you will hold court and address the needs and problems of your citizens. It can be filled with treasures and artifacts that you will accumulate by commissioning artists and craftspeople, which will add to your cultural wealth. The quality of food and the finer things in your court will attract better guests, which will open more opportunities to you and your kingdom. The decisions you make for your realm will affect the culture and shape it to your own desires.
The Royal Court DLC was announced as part of PDXCON Remixed, which is currently running all things Paradox Interactive. You can pre-purchase this expansion on its own, but you can also get the Expansion Pass or Crusader Kings 3: Royal Edition, which includes all the paid DLC like the previous Northern Lords expansion. Royal Court currently has no official release date, but Crusader Kings 3 is available now for PC.
