Wasn’t Dying Enough on the Switch?
The Ghosts ‘N Goblins series has a legacy of being punishing for gamers. Since its first entry in 1985, this franchise has been challenging players with hordes of the undead and powerful bosses. Earlier this year, Ghosts ‘N Goblins Resurrected came out on Nintendo Switch to bring this franchise back from the great beyond. It was released exclusively on the Switch, but it appears that Capcom has plans to release it on other platforms, but it is unclear exactly when.
The new trailer for Ghosts ‘N Goblins Resurrected is a bit of an accolade show-off, but it is well earned. Despite the aged and difficult gameplay, most reviewers and gaming websites enjoyed their time with it, including us. Much of the praise is for staying true to the roots of the series, while adding things like an easier difficulty and a local co-op mode, where a second player plays as one of the Three Wise Guys, who aid Sir Arthur with various abilities. It does not appear that the new ports will be receiving any sort of bonus features or special treatment though.
If you are not a Switch owner, but you are a Ghosts ‘N Goblins fan, you will no longer feel left out. Ghosts ‘N Goblins Resurrection is out on Nintendo Switch now, but will be available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One at some point this year.
