Ninja Gaiden Master Collection Leaps From the Shadows in June

Will They Add Naruto Running?

Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja will be coming out with the Ninja Gaiden Master Collection later this year. It was announced in February as part of a Nintendo Direct, but now we fans are getting news on a Deluxe Edition of the bundle. To be clear, the Ninja Gaiden series has been divided into two eras of games. There is the classic era that is a 2D side-scroller that ran between 1988 and 1995, and then the modern era of third-person action that came out between 2004 and 2014. The Master Collection will be made up of the three main games from the modern era.

The Master Collection will contain Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge. Each of these games are re-released or enhanced versions of their original game, but now brought to modern consoles and PC. Enhancements made in these titles include new playable characters, new bosses, and new missions. While the Deluxe Edition does not add extra in-game content, it does come with a digital soundtrack of over 180 tracks and a 70 page digital artbook.

The PS4 and Nintendo Switch versions have physical copy options, which if pre-ordered, come with reversible box art. There is also a Master Collection D Version for the Switch, which appears to be just a digital version. Hopefully if fans respond well to this collection, Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo will return to the series with a brand new game. Ninja Gaiden Master Collection will be available on June 10th for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
