Valheim Sold 4 Million Units in 3 Weeks

Valheim Is a Steam Early Access Success Already

Iron Gate Studio’s Viking survival title Valheim has gotten off to an amazing Steam early access start, surpassing 4 million units sold within 3 weeks. Considering the sales are strictly on PC and it only factors in Steam early access, Valheim is proving what a powerhouse it already is without releasing on other platforms. Valheim is available exclusively through Steam early access right now, but the sales success may lead it to other platforms in the future.

Just last weekend, Valheim reached 500,000 concurrent players, and the more people who are playing the game, the more likely that number will increase in the future. With four million Valheim players already exploring the game, it’ll be interesting to see how quickly the title can reach 1,000,000 concurrent players. Valheim has already been played for a combined total of 10,000 years despite only joining Steam early access earlier this month.

Valheim fans on Steam early access are already giving the Viking survival title glowing reviews, with over 81,000 overwhelmingly positive reviews already in the bag.

“I don’t think I have really had time to contemplate it. I know that players like the game a lot, but at the same time I think that I can make something even better in the future. I’m looking forward to adding more content to the game, especially working on the remaining biomes,” said Iron Gate Studio CEO Richard Svensson. “Our current roadmap only reaches the next biome and we hope to have it done by the end of the year, but it might very well take longer depending on how smooth the development will be. I really don’t want to stress the development, that never ends well.”
