Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury Gets New Trailer

Prepare to Face Bowser’s Fury

Nintendo has released a new trailer for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury and there’s a lot to unpack here. The trailer focuses on the new content being added to the upcoming Wii U port, Bowser’s Fury.

It appears as if Bowser’s Fury will feature a new world and that it will be open world, allowing players to freely run around as Mario with the company of… wait… Bowser Jr? Yup, Bowser Jr appears to either be an A.I companion and/or a new co-op character for the mode.

In this new trailer, the unlikely duo traverse the world on their quest to stop a ginormous enraged bowser. How can Mario ever hope to stop such a fursume foe? Well, of course he’ll just turn into a ginormous cat himself.

The trailer shows off the new giant cat suit (or should we say Lion suit?), Bowser Jr’s paintbrush, the new world design, the return of many upgrades, enemies, and obstacles, and everyone’s favorite dinosaur, Plessie.

Nintendo made an announcement yesterday on their Twitter page, giving fans a heads up to keep an eye out for the today’s trailer. The tweet indicated that we would be seeing some information on the “Bowser’s Fury” part of the game, and they did not disappoint as the trailer really did focus on the new content.

There are still plenty of details about the new content that we don’t know as of yet, such as the multiplayer options, but with only one month until the game’s release, we won’t have to wait very long to find out.

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury releases on Nintendo Switch on February 12th and can be pre-ordered right here or through the Nintendo eShop. You can check out the full trailer below:
