Brace Yourselves… Cyberpunk 2077 Refunds Are Coming With a Twist
Gamers who refunded their copies of Cyberpunk 2077 have started reporting the money being returned to their counts, but they’re noticing a pleasant twist at the same time. Perhaps in an effort to regain some goodwill, CD Projekt RED is letting players keep the game. While some of these players may be done with the game entirely, some may return to it and decide they enjoy it later down the road. Cyberpunk 2077 is available right now for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Google Stadia, and PC.
When Cyberpunk 2077 released as a wet fart, CD Projekt RED quickly announced that disgruntled fans could easily refund their copy of the game. According to several players reporting their experiences, CDPR is still letting these players keep the game. This may be the case for a number of reasons, but one big factor may be the fact that the company has a detailed roadmap that includes important fixes. These fixes may completely fix the experience for these players and they may come around on the futuristic RPG.
Refunds for Cyberpunk 2077 can no longer be requested, as CDPR set a deadline of December 21st, 2020. People who are receiving their money back are not only keeping their digital copies, but CDPR appears to be letting those with physical copies keep them as well. This play comes off as a major damage control move contrary to some of the statements the company has released since the botched launch of Cyberpunk 2077. The game continues to be updated and it’s likely that a lot of the problems players encountered early-on have been fixed or will be fixed soon.
