Get the Mythical Pokemon Zarude This December

The Long Awaited Monkey Is Finally Being Released This December

We are just a few days away from Pokemon Sword and Shield‘s one year anniversary. Just under a year later and the game is fully out with both sets of dlc, the Isle of Armor, and the Crowned Tundra, having been released. While the game has gotten smaller updates periodically throughout the year, there hasn’t been a ton of event Pokemon–a staple for the franchise.

Sure, we did get the shiny Zeraora earlier this year when the Isle of Armor dlc released. Players were faced with the tasks of taking down this Alolan mythical in a max raid battle in hopes of catching its shiny form, but there hasn’t really been any mythical events since and hasn’t been any brand new mythical Pokemon released this generation, until now.

Earlier this year on Pokemon day, we received our first sighting of Zarude, the first generation VIII mythical Pokemon. The rogue monkey Pokemon can be seen featured in the latest Pokemon movie, Pocket Monsters the Movie: Coco as it is known in Japan. Japanese players who have gone and seen the movie have already received a serial code for the new Pokemon.

Finally players in the west will be able to get the new mythical and it is easy to do. Sign up for the Pokemon Trainer Club newsletter and opt in to email marketing by November 20th, then all you have to do is wait for an email with a code containing a brand new Zarude. The code is set to release in December so keep an eye out then. You can sign up for the newsletter here.
