Future Imperfect
Yesterday’s War Table presentation was all about the first DLC character Kate Bishop. She is one of the holders of the Hawkeye mantle and successor of Clint Barton. Her story, titled Taking AIM, is all about trying to save Clint by travelling through pockets of time. At the end of the presentation, Crystal Dynamics gave us a little taste of what is to come after Kate’s story, in Clint’s DLC titled Future Imperfect. In it, we see evidence of Black Panther and Maestro.
Obviously, when messing with time, you are going to see an ugly side of it, and boy is it a doozey. Most people know who Black Panther is, but for the uninitiated, Maestro is a multiverse-conquering villain. He is a version of Hulk who is stronger than Hulk and smarter than Bruce Banner, and he uses is power for evil. He jumps from universe to universe in search of the strongest heroes, kills them, and keeps trophies of them. In this teaser, we see Clint Barton approach Maestro’s throne. At his feet, Maestro has Captain America’s shield, Thor’s hammer, Black Widow’s cuffs, Iron Man’s Helmet, Ms. Marvel’s knapsack, and Black Panther’s Helmet. We also see what appears to be an Ultron drone’s head stuck on a pike.
Maestro is a crazy threat for the Avengers, so we should be really worried about Clint Barton just casually walking up to him. However, if fans have learned anything, it is to not underestimate Hawkeye. There is no solid timeline (get it? GET IT?) for Future Imperfect, but hopefully we will be getting to play it sooner than later. Taking AIM is coming out on December 8th and the next-gen upgrade of the game will be out in early 2021. Marvel’s Avengers is out now on PC, Stadia, Xbox One, PS4, and will be out at a later date on PS5 and Xbox Series X.
Will you be jumping back into the game for either of these updates? Let us know in the comments below.
