Marvel’s Avengers DLC Hopes to Bring Back Players with Kate Bishop

On Target for Next Month

Since Marvel’s Avengers came out in September, honeymoon phase with fans quickly evaporated. Apparently, about 95% of players have dropped off the game. As a big fan of the game, the missions are admittedly tedious and repetitive. Upgrading your heroes’ gear is also super grind-y. Crystal Dynamics really banking on new content being the key to bringing back many of the lost players. After the delay of the first DLC hero and the next-gen edition, is it too late? We will see next month when the first Marvel’s Avengers DLC comes out.

Marvel's Avengers DLC

For fans that are really looking for a reason to jump back in, the trailer for Taking AIM does provide a healthy mix of Kate Bishop in combat and what mission she is on. Like her mentor before her, this Hawkeye is more than just a bow and arrow. Her acrobatics and agility make her look like an interesting character to play as. Of course, having a bow and arrow, there do not seem to be a lot of choices for close quarters combat, but Kate also appears to have a melee weapon; a sword by the looks of it, which may be her bow in a compacted state.

As it has been suggested by earlier looks at this content, Kate is on a mission to find and rescue her mentor Clint Barton. She and the other Avengers will be travelling through unstable time portals to bring him home. Fans will be able to play as Hawkeye AKA Kate Bishop on December 8th. Marvel’s Avengers is available on PC, Stadia, Xbox One, and PS4 now and will be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X in 2021.
