Something is Festering in the Fog
Today sees the release of a new chapter in Dead by Daylight, with (almost) everything that entails.
Descend Beyond introduces a new killer, The Blight, an alchemist who’s obsessive search for truth unltimately led him into the Entity’s clutches. Using a serum of his own design The Blight can move quickly across the map to gain ground on his victims, but there’s a catch; he can only launch an attack after bouncing off a wall or obstacle. As underwhelming as his power may be – especially next to some of the other powers such as teleportation or illusions – he’s sure to be a force to be reckoned with in the right hands, especially thanks to his three new perks:Â Dragon’s Grip, Hex: Blood Favor, and Hex: Undying.
Dragon’s Grip lays a trap on a generator The Blight damages, causing the next survivor who touches it to scream, revealing their location, as well as leaving them exposed to a one hit down. Hex: Blood Favor locks any nearby pallets in place after landing a succesful attack, forcing the survivor to move on instead of letting them loop, and Hex: Undying is a Hex protection perk, revealing the auras of any survivors near all totems, and transferring any other hex to a new totem if it gets cleansed.

The new survivor, Felix Richter, is an architect descended from a secret society studying the entity. He comes with three unique perks of his own: Visionary lets him see the auras of nearby generators, Desperate Measures increases his healing speed for each injured, hooked, or dying survivor, and Built to Last automatically recharges a spent item once per trial.
There’s no new map this time but we’ve seen some significant reworks on some of the older maps, plus a graphical upgrade for the entire game.
Will Blight or Felix replace your current mains? Let us know down in the comments.
