Mafia: Definitive Edition Adds New Crossover Content

Mafia: Definitive Edition Makes the Trilogy an Offer You Can’t Refuse

Fans of organized crime rejoice, Mafia: The Definitive Edition is available worldwide today! Players who purchase Mafia: The Definitive Edition also have a chance to score some sweet additional content that can be enjoyed across the remastered trilogy.

The latest classic game to be reanimated for modern audiences, Mafia: The Definitive Edition, is less of a facelift in the line of the many different Skyrim editions, but a ground-up rebuild of the period piece that was originally released August 27th 2002. The first game in the acclaimed series saw Tommy Angelo go from being a nobody cab driver to rise through the ranks of a criminal empire, and while this core story hasn’t changed, the definitive edition adds new voice acting and cinematics to give context to your crimes, with a re-recorded score to accompany the mayhem. The Definitive Edition also brings motorcycles to Lost Haven for the first time, which feels as revolutionary now as when Vice City added two-wheelers to Grand Theft Auto in 2002.

The release of the Definitive Edition completes the trilogy on current gen. Owners of the Mafia Trilogy will have access to loyalty packs adding a unique outfit and vehicle from each game to the other 2, so you’ll be able to drive Tommy’s Cab around Mafia 3’s New Bordeaux like a classic car fanatic, or tear up the streets of Lost Haven in Lincoln’s Muscle Car.

Other transferable content includes; Tommy’s suit, Vito’s Leather Jacket, Lincoln’s Army Jacket, and Vito’s sports car. A nice touch to link the series, which Hangar 13 has retconned into a cohesive trilogy with characters that crossover between games – something that the Grand Theft Auto series has all but abandoned except for the odd case of Laszlo!

Fans who sign up for a 2K account will also receive:

  • Mafia: Definitive Edition: Black Cats Motorcycle Pack.
  • Mafia II: Definitive Edition: Made Man Pack.
  • Mafia III: Definitive Edition: Classico Three-piece Suit & IL Duca Revolver.
