“Kid, You’re An Avenger”
The past like 20 hours have been a roller coaster of emotions for Marvel’s Avengers fans. There was a reported leak from a retailer that the game would include Spider-Man on the PS4 version. At first it was pretty flimsy, but a very intriguing prospect. A little while ago, the retailer had come out and said that information was taken down and was not provided by the publisher or supplier. Then! Earlier today, Crystal Dynamics posted on the PlayStation Blog that Spidey would indeed be joining the Avengers on PS4. Stop tugging on my webstrings!
Not only has your ol’ pal Zane been missing out on Marvel’s Spider-Man because he doesn’t own a PS4, but now he’s missing out on playing as Spider-Man in a game he has already bought because he’s going to play it on Xbox One. I. Am. Livid. But crying can come later. Right now, I’ll just be happy for PS4 owners. The PlayStation Blog did not give a whole lot of details about Spider-Man’s inclusion, but who needs details at this point? Spider-Man’s going to be in the game. The blog did say that he will be added to the roster as post-launch content in early 2021 though. It also says that he will be free for any PS4 owner with the base game.
Well, at least Xbox One and PC owners will be getting Hawkeye… I mean, so will PS4 owners. I guess I’m just holding on to the hope that the great Stan Lee in the sky will look down and take pity on us and grant us the web-slinger at a later date. Marvel’s Avengers will be coming out on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Stadia on September 4th. Brb, going to go cry.
