Switch Is The Newest Console To Get A Physical Release Of Stardew Valley
When Stardew Valley first released on the Nintendo Switch in October of 2017, the game was able to capture a new audience. The beloved farming simulator seemed to be a perfect fit for handheld devices. While the game has only been purchasable for the Switch through the Nintendo eShop for the past three years, Stardew Valley will finally be seeing a physical release.
On the site, Fangamer.com, fans can pre-order a physical copy of Stardew Valley. Although fans can buy the standard edition of the game for $34 which will include the physical game, case and manual, a collectors edition is being sold for $69. Included in the collector’s edition is a Collector’s Box, Wooden Standee, Wooden Lapel Pin, Junimo Comic, Farm Deed, Cleaning Cloth, and Bonus Poster.
Stardew Valley has been a very successful game since it launched in 2016. Over the course of its first four years, the game has sold over 10 million copies. While the physical release of the game will be sold in other retailers, Fangamer.com is the only place to get the collector’s edition. Although the game can be purchased physically on other platforms already, the physical release of the game on the Nintendo Switch will hit store shelves on November 6.
