The Triumphant Return of Bioware Isn’t Here Just Yet
It has been a rough couple of years for Bioware. Their most recent titles of Anthem and Mass Effect: Andromeda were total flops. What many players hoped would be a revival of one of their most respected developers did not go as planned. Dragon Age 4 is currently under development and so it a total overhaul of Anthem. In the meantime, both of those games could elevate Bioware to a much more desirable position than where they currently are but fans are still eyeing one game in particular. Mass Effect 5.
We know that a fifth Mass Effect game is being made but it is years away at this point in time. Since the disappointing finale of the original Mass Effect trilogy in 2012 fans of the epic sci-fi RPG have been craving another quality entry into the franchise.
The first two Mass Effect games where enormous and are still regarded as some of the best games of that generation. A far cry from the opinions held about games like Andromeda. Bioware is going to be looking to rebound hard from the mess that was pushed out the door in 2017.
Not to focus too hard on the negative, there are still signs of hope that Mass Effect 5 will outshine some of the other games in the series. Bioware has released some gems in recent years like Dragon Age: Inquisition. Something that they could build off of moving forward. Not to mention that the new spec of the PS5 and Xbox Series X could result in new features and visuals that were not previously possible on the old hardware.
Hopefully, Bioware is able to resurrect the Mass Effect series once again.
