Meanwhile NFS Heat Getting Crossplay
Criterion Games’ Matt Webster hit Need for Speed fans with two bits of news this week. First, the company is hard at work on developing the next entry in the series. Second, crossplay is coming to Need for Speed Heat tomorrow. That’s for every version, including the PS4.
The complete blog post announcement can be found here. As work on the next title appears to be ramping up, this crossplay update will be the last one for the game. Furthermore, NFS Heat will be moving to both EA Access and Origin Access Basic Vault on June 16th. This lines up nicely with EA Access coming to Steam. Now could be your perfect chance to check out the game!
Need for Speed Heat is also out on Steam, in case neither of the Access programs are in your toolkit. Webster mentions even more information coming during the EA Play event on June 18th. Hopefully this ends up being like, the name of the next Need for Speed game. Players will want more information than just the assurance that said game exists, after all.
