Sorry to Xbox One Owners
There is good news for a lot of Shantae fans out there. WayForward is once again teaming up with Limited Run Games to produce a physical edition of the upcoming Shantae and the Seven Sirens, for PS4 and Nintendo Switch that is. Starting on May 15th, PS4 and Nintendo Switch owners will be able to pre-order the Standard and Collector’s Edition of Shantae and the Seven Sirens. No reason was given why Xbox One versions are not available, but they have confirmed that it could not be done.
The Collector’s Edition comes with some pretty cool stuff. On top of the base game, it comes with the original soundtrack on disc, a Collector’s steelbook case, 50 trading cards of various monsters in the game, a reversible 18″x24″ poster, and perhaps the coolest, GameBoy Color cartridge and acrylic stand. On one side of the poster, we see Shantae, Rottytops, Sky, and Risky Boots in hula outfits. On the other side, we see the Half-Genies Shantae, Zapple, Harmony, Plink, and Vera in swimsuits. Though there is a GameBoy Color cartridge, there is probably no data on it, but it would be cool if something were to happen upon running it on a GameBoy. The very first Shantae game debuted on the GameBoy Color.

Staring on May 15th, fans will be able to pre-order the Standard and Collector’s Edition of Shantae and the Seven Sirens for four weeks. These editions are limited to PS4 and Nintendo Switch. Part 1 and 2 of Shantae and the Seven Sirens is available on iOS and Android now, and will be available in full on PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch on May 28th.
