Goosebumps Dead of Night Coming This Summer
Goosebumps, home to countless embarrassing childhood traumas, is getting another video game. Goosebumps: Dead of Night is coming to PC and consoles sometime this summer, and it looks exactly like one would expect, coming from this franchise. It’s the perfect vehicle for scaring a whole new generation of kids.
Dead of Night has Slappy escaping his confinement to wreak havoc, as per usual. It’s up to you to retrieve the pages of his cursed book, and put that dummy back in his place. There’s hardly a more well-known monster in the whole Goosebumps canon, aside from Monster Blood. Players will navigate a spoooooky first-person environment full of traps, puzzles, and cheesy jump scares. What better way to spend a summer?
Cosmic Forces has done this Goosebumps dance before, with Night of Scares back in 2015. This latest installment features improved graphics, advanced Nintendo Switch controls, and more stages will all make this their best Goosebumps game yet. You can check out the trailer below for a better look at the game. I’ve read a whole bunch of these books back in the day, but I don’t remember the garden gnomes. Maybe that’s a much later release?
