Lord of The Rings: Gollum Gets A Bunch of Screenshots

Looking Pretty Cool, So Far

Daedelic has been working on a stealth game set in Middle Earth for a little while now, and we’ve finally got some screenshots. You can see the whole collection of them right here. So far it looks like a faithful representation of the tiny weirdo described in the novels.

So what do we know about this game so far? Not much, aside from the release window and the systems it will be on. LOTR: Gollum will be coming out for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and the PC sometime in 2021. The game’s version of Smeagol is supposedly pulled strictly from the novels, though there is a strong resemblance to the version we’ve seen in the films.

There’s few details available about the gameplay, but one assumes that the emphasis will be heavy on the ‘stealth’ portion of the ‘stealth-action’ game being presented. Gollum is a pretty wiry dude, after all, and most opponents  could probably wipe the floor with his ass in a fair fight. Hopefully there’s no crazy action sequences nestled in the game, as I (and most players) would find this something of an impossible stretch.
