Red Dead Redemption 2 Replaces GTA V on Game Pass Next Month
Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be pleasantly surprised next month when Red Dead Redemption 2 joins the extensive lineup of titles. Grand Theft Auto V has been on the gaming subscription for a while now and Rockstar fans will be able to enjoy another giant game from their favorite studio in May. With both games offering in-depth online experiences that mimic their campaign’s open-world, Game Pass subscribers will have a lot to digest when the newer Rockstar game releases on the service. Red Dead Redemption 2 is available on PS4, Xbox One, Google Stadia and PC now, with the cowboy simulator joining Game Pass on May 7th.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is quite the extensive open world, with gamers being able to fulfill all of their cowboy dreams both in the main story and the online game modes. Sadly when it joins the Xbox Game Pass roster, Red Dead Redemption 2 will be replacing GTA V. This means that fans of the open world crime simulator title will be replaced by the more recently released Rockstar cowboy simulator. We think both games offer amazing experiences but we though that Red Dead Redemption 2 was a pure masterpiece. Are you curious what else we thought about the cowboy simulator? It’s a bittersweet moment for Rockstar fans who are also subscribers to Xbox Game Pass, seeing one instant classic replaced by another. While it’s hard to say whether or not RDR2 is superior to GTA V, Red Dead Redemption 2 is the more recent title, making it the better deal for the subscription service. Considering how popular the game was when it released on October 26th. 2018, it’ll be interesting to see whether it’s more successful than GTA V on Game Pass or not.
