Leaker Suggests Microsoft Will Do Multiple Xbox Series X Reveals
According to a known Microsoft leaker named Timdog, two separate reveals are planned for the Xbox Series X. A digital event will have one of the reveals in May and a potentially huge Inside Xbox in June. Microsoft will apparently be revealing the long-rumored, cheaper Lockhart model of the Xbox Series X during one of these reveals. The June Inside Xbox will be Microsoft’s digital showcase that replaces the E3 2020 presentation. Xbox Game Pass is expected to be available for all models of the Xbox Series X, with Game Pass Ultimate including Xbox Live at one subscription price of $10 per month.
When Timdog was asked about what Microsoft has planned for the coming months, he responded on Twitter: “next 2-3 months. Inside Xbox a direct for June , something in May. Lots of stuff rumored tho, Xbox has a ton of stuff to talk about, including Lockhart.” While we aren’t sure what to expect from the cheaper model of the Xbox Series X, we’re looking forward to more information from Microsoft about their upcoming next-gen console.
With the cancellation of E3 2020, we aren’t surprised to see that Microsoft is looking to do their own digital showcase with Inside Xbox. Although the company was one of the publishers that remained dedicated to helping a digital E3 this year, it was recently revealed that the ESA has fully cancelled the event. While every rumor should be taken with a grain of salt, especially rumors about next-gen consoles, Timdog has leaked information that turned out to be true in the past. Microsoft has yet to confirm a date for their upcoming Inside Xbox and they just recently held one that focused on the upcoming Obsidian title known as Grounded.
