A Perfect Game for an Ultrawide Monitor
Playstation titles don’t often get ported on to PC, so it seems like they are putting in all their effort into making this one right. We got the confirmation of ultrawide support for Horizon: Zero Dawn on PC Today. You can find an admin talking on their Steam community page, saying that you can check out the ultrawide screenshots taken from the port on their page right now.
I think ultrawide support for Horizon: Zero Dawn was almost expected with the PC port. With such a beautiful open world in the game, many fans who played on the Playstation 4 are buying it for the second time to enjoy it with high-fidelity graphics. Regardless, the confirmation is still very nice to have.
It looks like the game being ported to PC is in a way an advertisement for the Playstation and the reason why they are so selective about which games get ports. Guerilla’s former boss Hermen Hulst was interviewed saying, “I think it’s important that we stay open to new ideas of how to introduce more people to PlayStation, and show people maybe what they’ve been missing out on. To maybe put a few minds at ease, releasing one first-party AAA title to PC doesn’t necessarily mean that every game now will come to PC. In my mind, Horizon Zero Dawn was just a great fit in this particular instance. We don’t have plans for day and date [PC releases], and we remain 100% committed to dedicated hardware.”
Fair enough, I suppose. As a PC player, I still contemplate every few days about picking up those sweet, sweet exclusives. Seeing as it is, my dreams of Bloodborne on PC has never been more distant. Are there games for you that you are just absolutely begging to be ported over to PC? Let us know!
