ibb & obb Jumps to Switch in March

A remastered version of the co-op puzzle platform ibb & obb is set to release on Nintendo Switch this March. The original game was released on PS3 in 2013 and on PC in 2014.

Co-developers Sparpweed and Codeglue announced they were remastering the game in 2018. The new version of ibb & obb now has a firm release date of March 5 on the Nintendo eShop. A trailer for the game is now available on YouTube.

This version will include the 15 regular levels and 8 secret levels from the original game. The music from the original, composed by Kettel will also be returning to the game. The remaster promises upgraded art and polished level designs.

There is no new content planned for the remaster, but a new feature has been added for the Switch version. Players can draw on the Switch’s screen to better communicate ideas with their co-op partner. This type of gameplay feature could become more common in future Switch titles if the latest Nintendo patent ever hits store shelves.

The gameplay of ibb & obb focuses on co-operative platforming through levels where gravity pulls in different directions depending on where you stand in a level. Players help each other progress forward through each level in a variety of ways. The Switch version supports both local and online co-op.

The game is currently available for pre-purchase on the Nintendo eShop. Players who buy before March 5 will receive a 15% discount of the game’s full price. The game’s full price is $14.99 USD with the discounted price at $12.69 USD.
