It probably goes without saying that the Final Fantasy VII Remake is bringing all our favourite moments of the original game into the modern age, entirely redone in every way. Many fans may not remember, but Square Enix was laying the ground work for this project and even released a tech demo for the PS3 15 years ago. It was an updated opening scene of Final Fantasy VII, which has since been updated. Flash forward to the present day, and Square Enix has released a new Final Fantasy VII Remake screenshot of the final scene of the first episode.
The newest glimpse of the game is of the moment after the party escapes from the Shinra Corporation and defeats Motor Ball. It shows Cloud, Red XIII (who was recently revealed), Aerith, Barret, and Tifa, standing at the edge of an unfinished highway in Midgar, as the sun rises on a new day. We know that the Remake coming out in April will only be one of many episodes, and that it will cover everything up until the party leaves Midgar.
Combining incredible visuals, stunning world-design, a glorious musical score, seamless strategic action-based combat and a captivating cast of characters – #FinalFantasy VII Remake is almost upon us.
We hope you’re ready for it. #FF7R

If this is indeed the final shot of the game, it seems kind of anti-climatic for Motor Ball to be the last boss. There is also that new character, Roche, who I suspect will be replacing Motor Ball as the last boss of the game. Final Fantasy VII Remake will be out on PS4 on April 10th.
