Epic Games Store Plans on Giving Away Assassin’s Creed Syndicate For Free

Maybe Epic Games Isn’t So Bad Afterall

The Epic Games Store started a tradition of giving away one free game a week since the service launched in 2018. As usual, the games that were given away for free were nothing to write home about. Mostly indie games, players were never really treated with anything spectacular. However, this is going to change very soon as Epic Games has announced that they will be adding Assassin’s Creed Syndicate as the free game of the week.

The free game of the week is usually advertised a couple of days before it becomes available and this is no different. You can now go and see what Epic Games has in store. While this news might be exciting for some, you’re going to have to wait until the 20th to start playing.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is an entry into the AC series that is largely forgotten. It is by no means a bad game but it did not really stand out from the rest. The game takes place in Victorian England in the middle of the 19th century. Like most Assassin’s Creed games, the history of the time plays a large role in the game. You are going to be brushing shoulders with some of the eras most recognizable people like Charles Darwin and Karl Marx.

The Templars are of course still in the game and are the main bad guys. So nothing changes there. Most people’s complaints about the game were that it doesn’t really push the envelope in the way many had hoped. The characters in the main story have been called bland and uninspiring, to put it mildly. This game was not for everyone, but it does not mean that you can’t enjoy it. Especially when it’s free.
