Classic and Modern Options
Brawlhalla is often seen as something of a Super Smash Bros. Lite, but does have its own charming identity. Earlier this month, Brawlhalla hosted its own Valentine’s Day event. While Smash Bros. is known for having options of playing as characters from all over the gaming world as well as almost all the Fire Emblem characters, Brawlhalla does very similar crossover events, including real-life people like with their WWE event. Ubisoft is continuing the trend of high profile guests in their Brawlhalla x Tomb Raider event, which is taking place right now.
Lara Croft enters the brawl. In the gameplay trailer, she is seen using her iconic dual pistols, as well as her bow and a grappling hook. Her main look resembles her classic blue tanktop, braided hair, and thigh holsters, but there is a secondary skin taking inspiration from the rebooted series. With the addition of Lara Croft comes a new Free For All map called Temple Ruins, as well as a new mode called Temple Climb. Temple Climb is a little different from a standard Brawlhalla match in that the camera is constantly scrolling upward and is liable to leave brawlers behind. The temple-themed map is also lousy with spike traps that Lara is used to.
Those are the main additions and features, but like any Brawlhalla update, there are also smaller fixes and tweaks that you can find in Ubisoft’s patch notes video. Brawlhalla is a free-to-play game, available for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
