2020 Pokemon World Championship Mirrors Sword & Shield’s Location Choice
The 2020 Pokemon World Championship dates and location have been announced. The three-day event, typically held in North America, will be taking place In London, England this year.
Pokemon fans will flock to ExCeL London event centre to see the best of the best compete both in the Pokemon trading card game, and the Pokemon video games. The winners of the main tournaments will earn the title of  “world champion”. There are variety of side tournaments and off-shoot events that will be occurring at the same time. There will also be a variety of merchandise on sale. The event is set to run from August 16- 19.
It’s still possible to get an invite to compete in the event. Aspiring Pokemon trainers are encouraged to look for events in their local areas. Participating in these events will earn players Championship Points. Point requirements vary based on the tournament bracket and region you’re from. In order to assist the international Pokemon fanbase, the Pokemon Company has set up a page to help book travel and accommodations for the event. More details about the event and its participants will be revealed in the months leading up to the tournament.
