The Witcher Live-Action Show Is Almost Here

The final trailer for Netflix’s The Witcher was revealed on Thursday just before the show starts next Friday on December 20th. Go ahead and check it out below!

Starring former Superman actor Henry Cavill as the monster hunting hero, Geralt of Rivia, The Witcher is about Geralt traveling through the unnamed Continent to find dangerous work that usually involves killing deadly beasts and dealing with devious characters. At some point during the show, he teams up with a young princess named Ciri (played by Freya Allen) and a sorceress named Yennefer (played by Anya Chalotra).

The upcoming show will be adapted from The Witcher novels written by Polish author¬†Andrzej Sapkowski (who was part of the show’s creative team, according to showrunner Lauren Hissrich). Though the TV series hasn’t even premiered yet, it’s already been approved for a second season¬†and Hissrich has reportedly planned seven seasons.
