Easter Eggs in Winter? Wrong Season!
Like any responsible game developer, Infinity Ward updated their game for the holidays, not intrusively though. Meaning that not every map is Winter-fied, just Docks. It is now named Winter Docks, which surprised me with how uninspired the name was, but then I remembered Modern Warfare’s newest gametype is called Gunfight. Now for the kind of cool part of the update. Call of Duty sometimes puts Easter Eggs in their maps, but with this update there are not one, but two Modern Warfare Easter Eggs in Winter Docks.
The first one is pretty out there. On the Winter Docks map, there are four snowmen-I mean snowpeople. I don’t want to offend anyone in a Michael Keaton in Jack Frost situation. That being said, the four snowpeople must be shot, and Winter Docks is a Gunfight map, so this must be done quickly. When starting on the side of the map without the big clock on the building, there will be two snowpeople outside the boundaries of the map, behind some fences. Another one will on the opposite side of the map, on a rooftop. The last one will be on the far wall from there. Shoot them all, and your enemies will wear a carrot-nose and old silk hat like Frosty. It’s quite horrifying.
The next one is more simple. Just shoot the clock mentioned above at the stroke of midnight. That will trigger Santa Price. Captain Price will fly by on a sleigh drawn by reindeer, led by the canine companion Riley from Call of Duty: Ghosts. There you have it; two Easter Eggs that will undoubtedly get you shot by the opposing team while you try to trigger them. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
