Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Rolls Out Classic Maps Vacant and Shipment

1v1 Me on Shipment Bro

Despite Season 1 for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare debuting earlier this month, it has not stopped Infinity Ward from pushing out more content. Two classic maps are being added to the multiplayer today. Vacant and Shipment. Alongside these new maps will also be a new operator, Gunfight maps, and Spec Ops missions. Call of Duty fans are in for a treat.

Both maps that are being reintroduced were both originally featured in Call of Duty 4. Vacant takes place in an old run-down Soviet-style office building. The map is relatively small and the gameplay is tight and close up. Sniper rifles are next to useless here as there are no long sightlines to pick people off. Unless you are some quick scoping guru, you should just switch to an SMG.

Shipment is probably one of the most loved and hated maps of all time. It is an absolute meme of a map as it is about the size of a closet. This was the place were angry kids would settle their differences in a 1v1 quick scope match to determine who was the best of the best. It was essentially the precursor to Rust in MW2. Sometimes actual games of TDM or Ground War are played here and it is absolute chaos.

There are also going to be two new Gunfight maps too. Adding a lot more variety to one of the most popular game modes that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has produced.

The new operator is only available through the store. So unless you want to pay up, you’ll only be able to appreciate the new look from afar. Lastly, the new Spec Ops mission looks like a total blast but is sadly only available to PS4 players until next year.
