Team Rocket Takes over Pokemon Go by Looming in the Shadows
After months of teasing Pokemon Go gamers, Team Rocket is blasting off at the speed of light with the new update: Looming in the Shadows. Professor Willow tasks gamers with defeating Team Rocket one by one, culminating in an epic battle with the iconic villain and leader of the group, Giovanni. Gamers must assemble pieces of the Rocket Radar to sniff out the various members of Team Rocket until you finally take them out. Looming in the Shadows is available for iOS and Android now with Pokemon Go but Team Rocket have fully taken over.
Niantic has teased Pokemon Go fans for months regarding the Looming in the Shadows update, showing off the familiar Team Rocket hot air balloon and shadow Pokemon but now the villainous group has finally made it to the mobile Pokemon title. Cliff, Sierra, and Arlo are among the Team Rocket leadership gamers will face before taking on the ultimate challenge by facing off against Giovanni. Gamers will have to approach their hideouts and rescue the Shadow Pokemon they’ve captured.
To discover these hideouts, Pokemon Go gamers will have to defeat Team GO Rocket Grunts to receive a Super Rocket Radar from Professor Willow. Some Grunts will masquerade as Giovanni so remain alert while looking for the real deal. Gamers who are eventually capable of defeating Team Rocket leader, Giovanni, will be able to rescue a legendary Shadow Pokemon. These Pokemon have special qualities so it might be worth rescuing the Shadow Pokemon even if you have them already in your Pokedex.
