More Than Brain Age In Japan, That Is
The Switch Lite has been kicking major ass in the short time since its release. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 2 million sales in ten days means that portable gaming still has a foothold in the market. To that end, this means more 3DS games coming to the console. At the very least, we might see more than Brain Age in Japan.
The Wall Street Journal’s Takashi Mochizuki spoke to Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa, who revealed that “the company would make more 3DS franchises available on the Switch.” This begs the question, which 3DS games are we talking about here?
Brain Age is all well and good, but there’s a whole world of games out there. Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask, A Link Between Worlds, and probably at least one or two non-Zelda titles. I’m sure if Nintendo wanted a sweet sales bump, they could dredge up any number of fantastic titles to get people psyched for the Switch. Of course, this means completely re-configuring the control schemes for those games so that they work with a single screen. A small but rather significant problem, one that I’m certain Nintendo can probably overcome, maybe.
