I Mean, They Pretty Much Say It
It’s no surprise that there would be a Horizon: Zero Dawn 2 on the… what’s that word? Where the sun hits the ground? Equator? The word escapes me. Anyway, the first Horizon had so much charm and fans are dying for more. There have been rumors from people close to the series or from friends of friends, but this seems to be the first concrete evidence that developer Guerrilla Games is actively working on it. The job posting is looking specifically for a Technical Vegetation Artist.
“Within Guerrilla, we have four teams dedicated to creating the stunning environments of Horizon. One team focuses on the creation of lush and stunning vegetation. We build these 3D models from scratch, so our world dressing teams can deliver our immersive world with industry-benchmark graphics.” That is an excerpt from the job posting. As you can see, it mentions Horizon by name. Because of the nature of Horizon: Zero Dawn’s setting, there would be a lot of need for flora and fauna in this upcoming game.
Now that it is all but official, we keep noticing that whenever a Horizon: Zero Dawn follow up is referenced, people always drop the Zero Dawn. This leads your ol’ pal Zane to believe that there will be a different subtitle to whatever comes next. Just something for you to look out for next time you’re casing the internet for more rumors or evidence.
When do you think we will finally hear about a Horizon: Zero Dawn sequel? Let us know in the comments below.
