EA Is Expecting Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order to Ship 6 to 8 Million by March Next Year
Earlier this week Electronic Arts released the spectacular launch trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and now they’ve just had their big financial earnings call for the second quarter of the fiscal and it was quite revealing. In fact, it seems the publisher is hopeful that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will rake in some nice cash, with 6 to 8 million copies sold at launch.
Okay, well maybe not the full 6 to 8 million at launch, but at least before March 2020. With the game’s imminent release set for just a couple of weeks from now, and considering just how popular the Star Wars franchise is it’s no surprise they’ve set to bar pretty high. After all, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order appears to be exactly the kind of game the fans have been asking for. It’s a single-player story-driven title that won’t have a crap ton of microtransactions and it’s even set in an interesting time of the series.
With that said, EA did also have some lofty goals for Anthem when it released earlier this year, which it failed to meet. Of course, the two are completely different games so it’s anyone’s guess what’s going to happen. If you’re not too sure what to expect, we’re pretty hopeful. Here’s what our very own Garrett had to say about it in his preview, “I love Star Wars, I love video games, and from what I’ve played, Fallen Order is poised to be a glorious amalgamation of the two. I’m unabashedly stoked.”
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order comes out on November 15th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. What do you think about what you’ve seen so far? What do you think about EA’s expectations?
