PC and Xbox Players Are Not Happy
A new mode in Call of Duty Modern Warfare is going to be exclusively on the PS4 for a full year. After a year has passed this mode will then become available for the PC and Xbox One versions of the game. Understandably, fans are a little bit upset.
While one year is a long time to wait, it makes it even more frustrating that Call of Duty games are an annual release. This will mean by the time PC and Xbox One player finally get access to Spec Ops Survival Mode, it is more than likely that a new Call of Duty game will already be out.
The Spec Ops Survival Mode is expected to be similar to what was in Modern Warfare 3. A game mode in which you and a couple of friends try to survive against waves of neverending enemies. Similar to what was seen in Gears of War and Halo years ago.
Fortunately, everyone is going to be able to play the basic Spec Ops mode on launch. There have also been rumors that have claimed that there will be open-world elements to Spec Ops this time around. But these are of course only rumors.
We should find out a lot more about Spec Ops on October 5th. This is when Infinity Ward has said they will properly showcase the return of this much-loved game mode. Spec Ops first debuted all the way back in 2009 with Modern Warfare 2. It was loved by fans but has been relatively ignored since then. This is going to be the first time in a decade that Spec Ops has played a large role in a Call of Duty Game.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare comes out on October 25th. Plan accordingly.
