Everything Is Better with Anime Openings
Indivisible is a crowdfunded game that was announced way back in July 2015. After failing to meet its original goal, the campaign was extended and succeeded. Indivisible is a 2D Action RPG and has a style that lends itself well to anime sensibilities. It seems a natural choice that developer Lab Zero Games and publisher 505 Games would hire Studio Trigger to create the Indivisible trailer. You may recognize their work, as they animated Kill La Kill and a similar opening animation for Shantae and the Seven Sirens.
The trailer was released yesterday, tweeted out by the @IndivisibleRPG account. The tweet is prefaced with a spoiler warning, but I watched anyway. Granted, not knowing anything about the game, I don’t think I understand enough about it for anything to be spoiled. The trailer shows a young girl training outside her village followed by a montage of her battling monsters. We also see companions of hers that she appears to host within her body and then summon using a third-eye type deal. She can also alter herself to an enhanced battle form.
The trailer ends with a snazzy logo and a release date. Indivisible will be released on October 8th on PC, Xbox One, and PS4, as well as Nintendo Switch later down the road. Lab Zero Games also developed the highly rated 2012 game Skullgirls.
