Even the Sex Scenes!
From what have all seen so far from the multiple demos that have been shown off by CD Projekt Red, Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be an FPS. However, no one was sure is the cutscenes would be from the first-person perspective as well. There have been trailers which appeared to show off a cutscene but in the third person, or how a movie would traditionally be filmed. The Witcher’s cutscenes were all done in the third person. Despite some speculation, CD Projekt Red has come out and confirmed that all cutscenes will be in the first person. Even when you’re making sweet love to a robot lady/man.
The reason the developers went this route was to better immerse the player in the world around them. Whereas the Witcher series was dealing with wide-open fields and valleys, the Cyberpunk 2077 universe to one that is cramped and claustrophobic. It is also jammed pack with detail that would most likely be missed if the game was not first person. Not to mention that due to the large amounts of guns in the game. Being an FPS seemed like the only way forward.
But, this does not mean the game is 100%, first-person. There are certain abilities that exist in the game that will force the player to go into third-person. What these abilities are exactly? We don’t know. We’ll have to wait a while and see.
Cyberpunk 2077 is scheduled to release in March of 2020. A release date was finally delivered to millions of anxious fans earlier this year after being in development for what seemed like a lifetime. The hype and excitement that is surrounding this game are hard to put into words.
When Cyberpunk 2077 drops, it will be available for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
