Apex Legends Is Coming to Retail Stores Near You Next Month

Apex Legends Gets 2 Physical Releases in October

In a surprise move earlier this year EA and Respawn dropped their brand new battle royale title Apex Legends and it was received extremely well. Right out of the gates the game was immensely popular and while its player base might have declined a little since then, it’s only been available digitally. That’s about to change. It’s just been announced that fans are getting not one, but two physical editions of Apex Legends and it’s all happening next month.

In an interesting move, Electronic Arts has revealed that they’re releasing two physical copies to retail stores everywhere. Apex Legends is currently a free to play battle royale, however both retail editions are set to cost $19.99 USD and will be available for the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. So what will these two physical editions have included? You can check out a full breakdown of everything that’s included in each version below, as well as the announcement on Twitter.

The Lifeline Edition

  • Legendary Guardian Angel Lifeline skin
  • Legendary Chooser of the Slain Flatline skin
  • Exclusive Winged Guardian Banner
  • Exclusive Angel Struck Badge
  • 1,000 Apex Coins

The Bloodhound Edition

  • Legendary The Intimidator Bloodhound skin
  • Legendary Wrath Bringer Prowler skin
  • Exclusive Feeling Impish Banner
  • Exclusive Tormentor Badge
  • 1,000 Apex Coins

According to the Apex Legends Twitter account these in-game cosmetics aren’t like those linked to limited-time events and therefore aren’t subject to any time restrictions. In fact, they’re set to be available “indefinitely.” Which makes sense, considering you can pick up a retail edition any time you like. If you’re wondering if it’s worth it the Wraith Voidwalker skin costs 1800 Apex Coins, or about $20 all on it’s own. Considering there’s more cosmetics available, as well as a few exclusive items and legendary items in addition to 1000 Apex Coins for each edition this is the better deal. Plus, if you like the look of a bookshelf full of psychical game cases, you really can’t go wrong.

The two physical editions of Apex Legends will drop on October 18th. What do you think about this announcement? Will you be scooping one of these up? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and don’t forget to keep it locked for updates!
