Sweet Tunes and Badass Characters Abound
If you’re looking for a fresh shot of XCOM-style goodness in your life, there’s good news and bad news. The good news is that Dark Envoy may be just what you’re looking for. The bad news is that the game is a whole dang year away.
Dark Envoy got its debut trailer earlier today, which you can check out below. There’s precious little gameplay on display, but thankfully the Steam page has some choice shots of the action. The game looks like a blend between XCOM, Dragon Age, and Divinity, if that sort of thing piques your interest.
According to the Steam page, the game offers “free world exploration with an emphasis on tactical combat layered with lore and strategy.” If that’s not enough to get you curious, Event Horizon Games is the same studio that brought us Tower of Time. My glowing review aside, this should 100% be on your radar. If all this doesn’t sound rad enough, you apparently tool around the world in your own Skyship? Dark Envoy is set for release between Q3 and Q4 2020 for Steam, PS4, and Xbox One.
